Welcome to The FIRST Baltimore Alliance
The BAA represents a group of Baltimore area FIRST robotics teams. FIRST is a national program designed to encourage high school students to follow careers in science and technology. The BAA was formed to assist teams by sharing fundraising resources, mentors, and knowledge.
We would like to extend a big thank you to Outback Steakhouse for sponsoring our second Outback Night! Teams 007, 768, 1719, 1727, 1748, 1893, 1980, 2199 and 2528 attended, and together raised over $9000! Teams got together to meet up with other teams, talk with mentors, discuss the latest FIRST game, sell goods, and of course - enjoy the food! Thank you to everyone who donated food and goods to the silent auction and made this event possible.

Overdrive Launched!
The 2008 FIRST Robotics Competition has landed! Teams across the nation now have just six weeks to design, build, and test a robot to compete in this years game Overdrive. Overdrive is a new type of game with new game modes, new human interactions, and a whole lot of new fun. Teams must race around a track while keeping control of a trackballs - 40 inch diameter balls - to score points. FIRST introduced a new game mode called Hybrid that allows human interaction with the robot during the traditional autonomous period.

Battle O' Baltimore!
